on the way to vanessa's wedding, we took vietnamese snacks from a grocery by my house that has the best iced coffee ever. i really wished jrew would have gotten the squid chips or the shrimp rinds (like pork ones, only made with shrimp, only they are the same size as the pork ones. cause for concern perhaps...) but we mostly just stuck with things like new years candy (which was mostly just sugar) and coconut cookies (which were more like coconut crackers) and some really weird something called "egg crackle" which i thought tasted like dry wall, and jrew really liked. those snacks lasted us through all 1500 miles, through chattanooga twice, knoxville, asheville, black mountain, scottsboro, nashville twice, and then back home. we ate a lot of pizza and read a lot of stories, spent way too much money at grimey's, did no hiking whatsoever, slept a little, and now vanessa's married and isnt that strange. but good strange i think. she bounced all through her wedding.

thanks for you interest in the tale of magister hughes!  i'll try to keep up the quality to do his fabulous life justice. schwerwerwerwermer taught a yeats class last spring.  Waddles!  Waddles galore!  Even better than Clint Eastwood in Million Dollar Baby.
